David Pryor

Bio | Pryor grew up in Arkansas and attended the University of Arkansas both for undergraduate and law school. Pryor has a very detailed political career. He began as a member of the Arkansas House of Representatives. He later successfully ran for the United States House of Representatives and became a member from Arkansas’s 4th District. In 1975, he successfully ran for governor and became the 39th Governor of Arkansas. He held this position from 1975-1979 until he was elected a United States Senator from Arkansas. He became Chair of the Senate Aging Committee during his time in the Senate and at the same time was Secretary of the Senate Democratic Conference. His time in the Senate ended in 1997. After, he became Chair of the Arkansas Democratic Party from 2008-2009. |
