Bio | Born in Alabama, Hilliard attended Morehouse College, Howard University, and Atlanta University. He was elected a member of the Alabama House of Representatives in 1975 and then transferred to the Alabama Senate in 1981. He eventually became a member of the United States House of Representatives from Alabama’s 7th District in 1993 and remained incumbent unil 2003. |
