Edward Mezvinsky
Bio | Mezvinsky was born in Iowa where he attended the University of Iowa as well as the University of California, Berkeley where he later received his J.D. He worked for Representative Neal Smith for a period of time before serving as a member of the Iowa House of Representatives prior to becoming a member of the United States House of Representatives from Iowa’s 1st District in 1973. He was incumbent uniting 1977 when he became a United States Ambassador to the United Nations Commission on Human Rights until 1979. He then served as Chair of the Pennsylvania Democratic Party from 1981-1986. |
