Debbie Stabenow

Bio | Stabenow was born and raised in Michigan where she grew up to attend Michigan State University for her B.A. and Master’s. She was a member of the Michigan House of Representatives early in her political career. After, she served in the Michigan State Senate before becoming a member of the United States House of Representatives from Michigan’s 8th District. She remains incumbent as of August 2020 as a United States Senator from Michigan and assumed office in 2001. During her time as a senator, she has held many different positions such as Secretary of the Senate Democratic Conference, Chair of the Senate Agriculture Committee, and Chair of the Senate Democratic Policy Committee. |
