Bio | Between graduating college and representing Montana, Derek Harvey has committed himself to the Butte community in more ways than one: as an EMT, firefighter, hazmat technician, and member of the critical incident stress management team with the Butte-Silver Bow Fire Department, and as acting President of the Butte Firefighters Union – all before the age of 33. A former president and active delegate of the Southwestern Montana Central Labor Council (a collective community service for a unified labor force), Harvey is an active member of the Mount Moriah Lodge of Masons and Bagdad Shriners – an organization providing benefits to Shriner’s Hospital for Kids – and as a volunteer Scout Troop. |
