Edward Beard
Bio | Edward Beard was born in Rhode Island and served in the Rhode Island National Guard from 1960-1966. Beard was interestingly one of very few members of Congress who did not attend college. He was a member of the Rhode Island House of Representatives from 1972-1974 and later was elected a member of the United States House of Representatives from Rhode Island’s 2nd District in 1975 where he remained incumbent until 1981. |
