Bio | Chao was born in Taiwan and has a very detailed academic career involving attending school at Mt. Holyoke College, Dartmouth, Georgetown University, and received her M.B.A. at Harvard University. Her political career is also long and detailed involving being the commissioner and later the chair of the Federal Maritime Commission, the United States deputy of transportation, 12th Director of the Peace Corps, 24th Secretary of Labor, and the 18th Secretary of Transportation in 2017 where she remains incumbent as of August 2020. |
