Eleanor Holmes Norton
Bio | Norton was born in Washington D.C. and attended Antioch College as well as Yale University where she also later attended law school. She was very involved in civil rights both before and during her time as a law clerk. She served as chair of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission from 1977-1981. She the became a delegate to the United States House of Representatives from D.C.’s at-large district in 1991 where she remains incumbent as of August 2020. |
