Elijah Cummings
Bio | Cummings was born in Maryland and attended Baltimore City College as well as Howard University with a focus in political science. He went on to attend law school at the University of Maryland. He served in the Maryland House of Delegates from 1983-1996 when he was elected a member of the United States House of Representatives from Maryland’s 7th District where he remained until 2019. He also served as chair of the House Oversight Committee during his time as a representative. |
