Elizabeth Furse
Bio | Furse was born in Nairobi and lived in South Africa. Eventually moving to the United States and gaining citizenship, she advocated strongly for farm workers before attending Evergreen State College and Northwestern for law school. She advocated for Native American rights for a period of time before being elected a member of the United States House of Representatives from Oregon’s 1st District where she served from 1993-1999. |
